More on Silence
Silence is ok; it doesn’t have to be filled. You don’t have to think at all times; that is a bad habit. Learn to let there be silence.

Silence represents another plane of reality. The plane of silence is free for anyone. But, it requires work to obtain. To get there, we have to want it, choose it and go to any lengths to reside there; letting go of all else. Silence is pure. It cannot contain any other thing. We have to give up all else. Most of us would rather have the cheap rewards of material life.

My life is a river of time passing through silence. Time is silent. Time is a river through silence. I can watch the river from the bluff above and see my experiences float by. My life is merely a river of experiences watched in linear time. I have removed obstructive objects for the river. It flows clear and pure. It has nothing to do with God. It is the thing I watch. I myself am not my life. I do not know what I am.

Doing (whatever, fill in the blank) by itself doesn’t mean anything. It is form. Content holds meaning. My life has form and content. If the content of my life is thoughts and emotions; then my life is a very personal and egotistical affair. If the content of my life is silence; then I share my life with all beings. All that really exists as unchangeable and eternal is silence. Silence can be covered and ignored; but not destroyed. Silence is not energy and not God. Silence is the nearest thing to non-temporal-existence available; next to assumption into the uncreated.

Silence is the ability to hold emptiness as a thought. Thus, I give up existing for-the-sake-of others in order for the content of my life to be silence. How selfish and sacrilegious to not have a ministry of helping others. While not existing for-the-sake-of other; I do extend silence. Silence is my only contribution to the material world.

This morning, I ran 27.5 miles. Running by itself doesn't mean anything.
